"I have been coming to Twin Cities Toastmasters meetings since I was twelve.  The structure and professionalism of this group really tops them all.  Many opportunities arise for individuals to take advantage of, lending themselves to speak at public organizations.  Our members have conducted seminars, trainings workshops, political campaigns, and media

Upcoming Events And Below That Past Events:

May 15 The Twin City Toastmasters held a "mock" Toastmasters at the Kiwanis Club held at Williams Memorial church on Moore's Lane. From left to right are Paul Tye, Brenda Rochelle, Dwayne Butler, and Mike Brewington.    DTM Dwayne Butler began the demo meeting by introducing the program to the Texarkana Noon Kiwanis Club.  He provided information on the mission and goals of Toastmasters International. Dwayne continued by describing the typical "format" for a Toastmasters meeting, the customary parts to the meeting, and what to expect during the demonstration.  He next introduced the Toastmaster of the Day, Competent Communicator Mr. Paul Tye, whereat Paul assumed control of the lectern and "began" the demo meeting.  Advanced Communicator Bronze-Competent Leader Mike Brewington gave a prepared speech entitled, "What Women Want", which was a 5 to 7 minute expose on the home building/construction industry and the crucial role that most women play in such a project.  Able Toastmaster Bronze Brenda Rochelle was the Evaluator responsible for critiquing Mike Brewington's presentation.  Fellow Toastmaster, Diane Engelkes, was the Timer of the Day and provided the framework that kept the program flowing smoothly.  Overall it was a dramatic demonstration of the public communication skills achievable through the Toastmasters program.  Well done, All!!!

2-22-2008 : By the way, all of you would've been proud of Stuart Daniels, Paul Tye, Brenda Rochelle, John Fooks, & Dwayne Butler (yeah, that's me) yesterday afternoon.  They combined their talents and training to put on a TREMENDOUS show for the OUT & ABOUT tv show.  It airs on cable channel 15.  I've attached a scanned image of the schedule of the times for the program to air, should you wish to try to catch it.
